The 'Galecha' necklace: an ode to Indian Minimalism (colorway 2)

$360 USD

Design code: PBZ-1657-N

Handcrafted in sterling silver with genuine hand-painted miniature paintings/artworks enclosed between a silver plate and a glass front. Accented with fine hand-painted enamel work.

Stately presence, contemporary aesthetic, and exquisite attention to detail. Some pieces of jewelry are just right. Perfect, if you may. This is one such design.

The clean lines of this gorgeous necklace spell sophisticated modernity yet it is the finely hand-painted artwork, inspired by Mughal miniature paintings, that is the true hero of the design. Truly a piece of jewelry that defines 'Indian minimalism' and one that'll lend a design-forward finish to any outfit.

The connecting link gives the framed artwork movement and enables it to sit beautifully on the body. Finished with a chain and 'lobster clasp' closure at the back.

Dimensions: (of the rectangular pendant unit in the center) 3.2 cm long and 3.5 cm at the widest. The total length of the necklace end to end: 17" (including lobster clasp) with an additional 1.5" extension chain.

In a quaint home-cum-studio in Rajasthan, each miniature is deftly painted, using centuries-old techniques. Please allow for minor variations in the artwork and color, in keeping with their hand-painted nature.
